Oaklands Hill Wind Farm is an exciting new joint venture being undertaken by two internationally-recognised Australian companies in an area just south of Glenthompson in Western Victoria.
Development of this $180 million wind farm will bring immediate economic benefits to the Glenthompson district while providing a clean, emissions free source of electricity generation for many years to come.
Following detailed wind resource studies, the Oaklands Hill site has been identified by the proponents as one of the best sites for a wind farm anywhere in Victoria recording wind speeds usually associated with coastal sites. For this reason Investec Bank and Windlab have joined forces to develop the farm for the benefit of the entire Victorian community.
