Consultation
The consultation process leading up to the submission of the Planning Permit Application has involved the following parties:

In addition, Oaklands Hill Windfarm has consulted with landowners involved in the wind farm project who will accommodate the project on their property, residents and landowners with properties adjacent to the subject site, residents and landowners within 2km of the wind farm, other interested residents, and Businesses and residents seeking employment and contracting opportunities under the project.
Non-government agencies including the Glenthompson Land Care Group, Trust for Nature, and the Glenthompson Progress Association have also been consulted during the planning process.
Oaklands Hill Wind Farm arranged a Community Open Day, which was held on the 3rd of March, 2007 between 10am and 4pm in the Glenthompson War Memorial Hall. The Open Day provided the general community with an opportunity to meet with the proponents of the wind farm project and specialist consultants involved in undertaking the background studies which informed the wind farm proposal.
Over 100 members of the community attended the open day to peruse the information displays and find out more about the proposal. Feedback forms were made available at the open day for community feedback on the proposal.
All attendees to the Open Day that provided contact details were mailed information regarding the submission of the Planning Permit Application and a map of the final turbine layout. Please click on the link below to view these documents.
