• Wind monitoring began

• Planning consultants appointed

Quarter 4 2006 to Quarter 1 2007

• Draft turbine layout identified
• Equipment suppliers identified
• Presentation to Southern Grampians Shire Council
• Presentation to Ararat Rural City Council
• Undertake detailed studies of:
  • Flora and fauna (spring and summer surveys for birds, bats and other fauna)
  • Noise
  • Indigenous factors
  • Heritage and tourism impact
  • Electromagnetic impact
  • Visual assessment
  • Geographical area

Quarter 2 to Quarter 3 2007

• Consultation with direct neighbours and key stakeholders
• Open day to receive and discuss all public submissions and address any concerns.
• Lodge planning application with Minister for Planning. (Because the wind farm is over 30 MW the Minister is responsible for determining the application)

Quarter 4 to Quarter 1 2008

• Planning Panel hearings

Quarter 3 2008

• Planning approval expected

Quarter 1 2009

• Design and construction of the wind farm commences
