Electrical Connection
The site is approximately 17.5 km north of the 66 kilo-Volt ('kV') Terang to Hamilton line, which is owned by Powercor. The nearest transmission point of connection between the 66kV network and the main transmission system (owned by SPI Powernet) is at the Terang terminal station. The project will connect to the 66kV system and provide a source of clean locally generated power into the network. The connection line will most likely be built and owned by Powercor.
It is expected the connection of the wind farm will provide significant improvements to the operation and reliability of the existing Hamilton to Terang network.
